A clean surface is the optimum surface. When it becomes necessary to clean the safety pads, any of the following    methods can be used:

      • steam, if available
      • strong detergent with scrub brushes
      • non-flammable solvent which will cut oil and grease
   Resurfacing with Non-Skid Coating

When the non-skid surface has been worn down, it should be reapplied with a premeasured one-gallon kit    available from Custom Safety Products, Inc. This operation can be done on the rig by the rig personnel.

   Recoat Procedure:

      1. Remove Safety Pad II FR from rotary table.
      2. Clean per instructions above.
      3. Roughen surface lightly with wire brushes or grinder
      4. Mix Primer 450, Parts A & B.
      5. Apply evenly with short-nap paint roller or conventional spray gun.
      6. Allow to dry 45 minutes.
      7. Mix CS-200 non-skid parts A & B with mixer blade in 1/4" or 3/8" drill motor for a full eight minutes.
      8. Apply evenly with short-nap roller (included in kit) or hopper gun and let cure overnight.
      9. Place back on rotary table.

When necessary (normally once a year), contact Custom Safety Products, Inc. for a non-skid resurfacing kit. The kit    contains instructions, non-skid material, primer, mixer blade, roller and pan. Contact Custom Safety Products for    price and availability.

No other product should be used to resurface a Custom Safety Products pad.
