Maintenance

A clean surface is the optimum surface. When it becomes necessary to clean the safety pads, any of the following methods can be used:

  • steam, if available
  • strong detergent with scrub brushes
  • non-flammable solvent which will cut oil and grease

Resurfacing with Non-Skid Coating

When the non-skid surface has been worn down, it should be reapplied with a pre-measured one-gallon kit available from Custom Safety Products, Inc. This operation can be done on the rig by the rig personnel.

Mix CS-200 non-skid.

Recoat Procedure

Apply evenly with short-nap roller.
  1. Remove Safety Pad II FR from rotary table.
  2. Clean per instructions above.
  3. Roughen surface lightly with wire brushes or grinder
  4. Mix Primer 450, Parts A & B.
  5. Apply evenly with short-nap paint roller or conventional spray gun.
